Grupo Folklorico Herencia Mexicana is a non-profit dance organization whose classes take place in National City. Below is information regarding our Folklorico classes offered, registration and audition process.
Academia I
Tuesdays & Thursdays
5:30pm-6:30pm
Academia I is a class offered to our young bailarines. Children ages 8-12 interested in Folklorico have the opportunity to learn basic steps and choreography with potential performances throughout the year.
Mondays & Wednesdays
8:00pm-9:30pm
Skirtwork and technique class is focused on perfecting the technique of folklorico. Instructor will go over in detail footwork, technique and choreography. This class is recommended to any dancer wanting to grow and improve in skill.

Company is offered to our advanced bailarines. It is offered to dancers with folklorico background. Dancers ages 13 + with experience in Folklorico learn advances steps and choreography with various performances throughout the year.

Academia III is a class offered to bailarines ages 13+. Academia III is our intermediate class offered to individuals with folklorico background. This class focuses on intermediate to advanced steps for choreographies with an intent into being a part of company.
